Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role will focus on generating leads for our inside and outside sales teams, with an emphasis on behind-the-counter seasonings and the meat industry. The ideal candidate is comfortable with cold calling and emailing new leads, thrives in a fast-paced sales environment, and has a passion for building lasting relationships with customers. Commission is paid on all first-time orders, with the ability to grow your own book of business. This position reports to the Inside Sales Manager and is based in Iron Ridge, WI.

What You’ll Do

  • Prospect, qualify, and generate sales in un-represented territories
  • Understand customer needs and expectations, providing meaningful solutions
  • Sell the value we provide and differentiate us from the competition
  • Close deals and achieve customer satisfaction
  • Strive to meet sales goals and provide regular updates on progress against KPIs
  • Maintain accurate and complete records in Salesforce
  • Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP, and other quality and employee safety programs
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

What We’re Looking For

  • 3-5 years of relevant business and territory development sales experience
  • High-volume cold calling experience
  • Background in the meat industry preferred
  • Proficiency in CRM/Salesforce, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Impressive personality with the ability to convince customers by selling our value proposition
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude, accountability, and professionalism
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with high confidence
  • Ability to analyze the market and target potential customers
  • Effective communicator with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects and adapt to changing deadlines
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • This position is mostly sedentary, but some tasks may require lifting, bending, or standing
