Accounts Payable Specialist

PSC Group has an exciting new growth opportunity located in our office in Baton Rouge, LA. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual seeking an A / P role in a family-oriented company that is growing tremendously and backed by a private equity. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
Work Schedule : Monday thru Friday 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM (some flexibility with hours)
Job Duties & Responsibilities :
- Processes vendor invoices for payment by coding, entering, and routing for approval
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Researches discrepancies between vendor records and company records and resolves differences
- Provides high level of customer service to all vendors and employees
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
- Assists leadership will other tasks / projects, as needed
