Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the sanitation team to ensure effective cleaning and sanitation processes are in place.
- Develop and implement sanitation protocols in compliance with FDA and USDA regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to food safety and quality assurance standards.
- Oversee Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) programs to identify and mitigate food safety risks.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on sanitation practices and safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and maintain Train the Trainer LOTO, Fall Protection, MEWP, & OSHA 10-Hour Certification.
- Adhere to FSMA, GMPs, SQF, BRC, GFSI guidelines
- Perform machine safety inspections and maintain records of sanitation activities.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and quality.
- Utilize basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership and people management skills in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage manufacturing processes.
- Expertise in Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) practices.
- Familiarity with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles.
- In-depth understanding of FDA and USDA regulations.
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification is required (30-Hour preferred)
- Forklift licensed with experience in operating forklifts safely.
- Ability to conduct machine safety inspections and maintain compliance.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
