Accounts Payable Specialist

Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist with 4-6 years of experience to join our dynamic finance team. This position is critical to ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all accounts payable processes, maintaining vendor relationships, and contributing to the overall health of the organization. The AP Specialist will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our external partners.

Essential Job Functions:

• Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process a high volume of invoices in a timely and accurate manner
• Vendor Management: Maintain strong relationships with vendors, address inquiries, and resolve discrepancies
• Payments: Prepare and execute check runs, ACH, and wire transfers while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
• Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any outstanding issues
• Expense Reports: Audit and process employee expense reports in line with company policies
• Compliance: Ensure accounts payable activities comply with financial regulations and company policies
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audits and internal reviews
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency with accounting software (Aptean Apparel ERP Full Circle a plus) and Microsoft Excel
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in processing financial transactions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Ability to analyze issues, think critically, and provide effective resolutions
• Knowledge of GAAP principles and familiarity with AP best practices
• Experience with automated AP systems or process workflows

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in related business field
• 4-6 years of accounts payable experience in a mid-sized organization

This position is designated as Hybrid, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in our Irvine, CA office.

The salary range for this position is $70-$80k, based on experience.

Seeing: Must be able to see well enough to read reports.

Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers, vendors and employees.

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up products.

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to type and use technical sources.
