The Data Analyst I - Risk role at PSECU is a dynamic position responsible for the gathering and analysis of data for reporting and presentation purposes. The successful candidate will have a beginner level skill set in Power BI or similar data visualization tools, as well as a basic understanding of statistics and mathematics. This individual will work closely with other analysts and subject matter experts to develop accurate reports, metrics, and dashboards for internal teams. Duties include gathering requirements, learning data sources and metrics, performing descriptive analysis, formulating hypotheses, and collaborating on project initiatives. The Data Analyst I will also be responsible for validating and presenting accurate data visualizations and reports. This individual will be supporting the ongoing maintenance and integrity of Risk Management data sources, reports, and dashboards, research data and process-related issues, and seek optimization in both analytics and operational processes. The Data Analyst I performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses beginner to working knowledge of subject matter. Schedule Monday-Friday either 8:00am - 4:00pm or 9:00am - 5:00 PM, onsite requirement 40%.

In this position, you will
- Learn Data Validation Techniques, PSECU data sources and high-level metrics, and the requirements for reporting and analysis.
- Deliver, validate, and present accurate reports, metrics, and dashboards to internal team.
- Perform descriptive analysis on internal and external datasets
- Develop fundamental data visualization, querying, and reporting skills outlined by provided guidelines, criteria, and procedures.
- Assist with Data request needs from within the Risk Line of Business including Risk Assessment data needs, document collection for internal/external audits, and consulting engagements.
- Develop understanding of Risk Managements products & services, business units, business processes, systems, and roles & responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
