The Security Operations Intern is responsible for assisting with analyzing, developing, and implementing the information security controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PSECU’s information. The intern will assist in hunting for threats lurking within our ecosystem, focusing on exposure and eradication. The intern will explore data analysis techniques, human intuition, expert security knowledge and security tool to uncover malicious activity. The intern will also assist with ensuring the network environment is setup in best practice and using proactive monitoring to prevent new and future threats. The position reports to the Information Security Operations Manager and works closely with other areas within the Technology and Operations (Tech Ops) organization.
Must be a current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
This position will be a hybrid model of both in person and remote with the minimum onsite expectation of 20%, or as needed.
