Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary
Responsible for leading a team of HR Business Partners to deliver strategic HR solutions that align with business objectives and enterprise goals. Works regularly with senior leadership to foster an inclusive culture, support talent initiatives, and drive employee engagement. Provides proactive solutions to complex business challenges, ensuring compliance with HR policies, and delivers on people strategies that support the overall business goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR Business Partners to deliver strategic HR business partner counsel and service to a large, complex business unit
- Establish the HR strategy for the business unit
- Provide strategic HR counsel to business unit’s leadership team; serve as a member of that leadership team
- Collaborate closely with leadership team to develop and execute HR strategies that directly support business goals
- Provide strategic HR guidance and consultation on critical business decisions impacting the workforce
- Analyze business data and workforce trends to identify areas for improvement and develop proactive HR solutions
- Lead workforce planning for business unit by identifying and overseeing strategy to advance workforce of the future
- Provide guidance and input on business unit organizational transformation initiatives
- Lead change management initiatives to support business unit organizational transformations
- Partner on succession planning for identified critical roles by identifying and overseeing development planning for future leaders within the organization
- Partner effectively with HR COEs to develop and deploy effective HR programs
- Lead the implementation of HR programs within the business unit, identifying needs for “customization” and driving accountability for adopting the new programs
- Oversee escalated employee relations issues that carry significant risk or visibility within the business
- Oversee performance management for the business unit, including goal setting and performance reviews
- Oversee compensation decisions, providing input and approval for senior leadership roles or decisions that are outside of established guidelines
- Lead employee engagement activities, including analyzing and action planning against engagement survey result
Job Specific Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Human Resources or other position with relevant skills and experience
- Knowledge of labor and employment laws
- Experience supervising or managing others
- Use of Microsoft Office applications (including SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of management
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, and relationship building skills
- Solid change management skills
- Solid project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and lead cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and exercise discretion and independent judgment
- Ability to develop creative solutions to move initiatives forward impactfully
Desired:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- Utility industry experience
