Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Sprinkler Service Supervisor to lead our team of Fire Sprinkler Service Fitters & Install Technicians. This role is responsible for overseeing the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems while ensuring compliance with national and local codes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
-Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Fire Sprinkler Service Fitters & Install Technicians.
-Ensure all installations, inspections, and repairs meet NFPA standards and local codes.
-Provide hands-on support with complex installations, troubleshooting, and service calls as needed.
-Train and mentor team members on best practices, safety procedures, and technical skills.
-Review work orders, reports, and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
-Oversee timesheets, review completed work, and ensure all reports are fully completed.
-Manage and track report tags, ensuring they are updated from red to green.
-Work closely with the Parts Department when necessary to coordinate supplies and materials.
-Coordinate scheduling, assign tasks, and monitor project progress to meet deadlines.
-Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
-Enforce company policies, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
-Collaborate with management to improve service efficiency and address operational challenges.
Schedule & Working Conditions:
-This role requires working in the office every Monday to handle administrative duties and planning.
-Exposure to construction environments, including indoor and outdoor conditions.
Requirements:
-5 years of experience as a Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
-Valid Washington Fitter Card.
-High School diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
-In-depth knowledge of NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, 14, 20, & 25.
-Strong understanding of fire sprinkler system codes, standards, and installation practices.
-NICET II Water-Based Systems certification (highly preferred).
-Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
-Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
-Willingness to work on-call as needed.
-Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
