Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk & Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing shipping operations, ensuring orders are processed efficiently, and providing excellent customer service. This is an essential role within our logistics and customer service departments, combining both shipping duties and assisting customers with inquiries or issues.
Shipping Clerk Duties:
- Prepare and process shipments for delivery to customers.
- Verify shipping addresses and product information before dispatch.
- Maintain and update shipping records and inventory.
- Track and manage orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate with carriers and logistics teams to resolve shipping issues.
- Ensure packaging meets quality standards to prevent damages during transit.
Customer Service Duties:
- Answer customer inquiries via phone, email, or live chat.
- Resolve customer issues related to product orders, returns, and shipping.
- Provide timely and accurate information regarding product availability, delivery times, and order status.
- Process returns, exchanges, and refunds.
- Work with various departments to ensure customer satisfaction and follow-up.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's Degree preferred).
- Proven experience in a shipping, logistics, or customer service role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Basic knowledge of shipping software, office software (Word, Excel), and CRM systems.
- Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve under pressure.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with inventory management or order fulfillment is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, and other shipping carriers' software and systems.
- Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook experience required.
- Quickbook experience preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
