Job Title: Data Scientist – National Security Risk Modeling
Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite)

We’re working with a premier research and development organization that supports U.S. government agencies on critical missions—including assessing the risks of CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives) threats.
This is a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects that shape national preparedness and emergency response strategies. You’ll collaborate with a team of data scientists, physicists, and engineers to conduct quantitative risk assessments, develop simulation models, and present technical findings to both scientific and non-technical stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead or support the execution of annual risk assessments related to national security threats.
- Optimize and maintain an existing risk modeling system.
- Analyze data and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Write technical documentation and annual reports summarizing methods and results.
- Participate in regular client meetings to report on project progress.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree 5 years of experience, Master’s 2 years, or Ph.D. in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
- Solid understanding of advanced math (calculus, differential equations, linear algebra).
- Proven experience with technical communication and documentation.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in data science, modeling & simulation, quantitative risk assessment, or statistical analysis.
- Programming experience in C , C#, Java, or similar.
- Familiarity with machine learning, AI, or NLP techniques.
- Technical writing and data visualization experience.
- Active DoD clearance (Secret or Top Secret) is a plus.
