STRIVE U is seeking qualified individuals for a full-time position as an Employment Coordinator. In this position, you network with other companies and help market our students to companies and match them to paid positions there.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who has strong communication, sales and marketing skills. In addition, this person should also be committed to providing students with an inclusive post-secondary academic experience that includes paid work experiences.
Employment Coordinator Requirements
· Minimum of 2 years of college
· 1-2 years marketing, public relations (PR), or related networking experience preferred
· Experience with independent living skills and/or employment support, monitoring and documenting student progress- preferred but not required
· Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision making skills
· High attention to detail
Employment Coordinator Responsibilities:
· Network with the business community to raise awareness and to develop new job placements for our students
· Cultivate connections with businesses to raise awareness and interest in STRIVE U
· Provide education on employment and hiring process to our students, in addition to any necessary job coaching
· Communicate updates on student’s job searches to their team for quarterly meetings.
· Attend local networking events to promote the Employment Program.
· Attend/assist at STRIVE U events such as Open House Weekends & Graduation
· Work in collaboration with Southern Maine Community College to support students to utilize their career services
