What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool Setter position at PSMI?
This is for our client GM DuraMax based in Brookville, OH* 3rd SHFT*
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- Set up tool holders with the cutting tools according to the cutter list for the component to be machined.
- Measure tooling using a precision measuring device.
- Set up and/or modify master tools within system.
- Clean and Inspect all used tooling. Coolant ports, pockets, shim seats, clamps, etc.
- Operate an industrial washer to clean a variety of tools.
- Accurately deliver tooling to correct departments and machines.
- Pull inventory that needs to be pre-set.
- Maintain required float for all machines.
- Comply with OSHA safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- ·High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a Team environment
- Proficient computer, written and verbal communication skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
