Duties:
The Agile Product Owner represents the voice of the customer at the team level, maintaining and prioritizing the Product Backlog, to ensure that the team is working on stories that maximize business value and deliver necessary fixes and functionality to all customers. They must have strong business skills and experience, with either some experience working with technology teams, or the ability and interest to learn how to work with technology teams. The Agile Product Owner will be 100% allocated to this role. The incumbent provides expert content/professional leadership on complex assignments/projects. Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders. Focuses on providing thought leadership but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business. Recognized internally as a subject matter expert.
Collaborate with different departments to understand their data needs, translating business requirements into actionable product features.
Manage the list of data management features and functionalities, deciding which to prioritize based on business impact and user needs.
Work closely with data engineers, and other technical staff to design, develop, and implement data management solutions.
Ensure data quality by following data governance policies, monitoring data cleansing processes, and addressing data integrity issues.
Promote the use of data management tools and educate users on how to access and utilize data effectively.
Orchestrate collaboration between diverse teams, fostering communication between data engineers, reporting analysts, and business users.
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the product's success. They analyze usage data and user feedback to measure the product's impact on business goals and identify areas for improvement.
Skills:
Understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, data pipelines, data quality tools, and data governance principles.
Effectively communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Agile methodologies, backlog management, and prioritizing features.
