Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Analyst will play a pivotal role in analyzing and improving the company’s supply chain operations. This position will focus on optimizing supply chain processes, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the efficient movement of raw materials and finished products between domestic and international locations. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, data-driven, and capable of delivering actionable insights to improve the supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize the supply chain flow, from procurement of raw materials to distribution of finished products across international locations.
- Monitor and forecast inventory levels, ensuring the right quantities of materials are available at the right time while minimizing costs.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient shipping of materials and products, coordinating with international suppliers and customers.
- Identify and address bottlenecks, risks, and inefficiencies within the supply chain; propose and implement process improvements.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on supply chain performance, including lead times, inventory turnover, and supplier performance.
- Assist with contract management and supplier negotiations to optimize terms and conditions.
- Support the planning and execution of cost-saving initiatives within procurement and logistics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, finance, and sales, to align supply chain strategies with company goals.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes affecting the metals supply chain.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics, preferably within the metals or manufacturing industries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in supply chain software (ERP/MRP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience working with international suppliers and customers, with knowledge of import/export regulations and international shipping logistics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams and cultures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
