We are looking for a kind, smart, and hardworking Inventory Director to make sure Kaya has great products on the shelf for our customers. We want someone who can collaborate closely with all departments including, accounting, cultivation, retail, marketing, compliance, and logistics. You will need to be comfortable creating and manipulating spreadsheets. You should also have strong interpersonal skills to communicate well with each department and negotiate trade and deals with vendors.
You will be compensated with a base salary (50K-60K) and bonuses based on company revenue.
Responsibilities:
1. All 3rd party product ordering for our retail locations.
Make sure orders are commensurate with sell through rates and are within budget.
Work with the Retail Director and vendors on promotions to push products.
Ensure product levels are sufficient to support promotions.
2. Negotiating trade deals with Vendors
Work with reputable extract and edible companies to turn our fresh frozen and dried flower into excellent products. Find new partners when needed.
Negotiate trade deals to maximize profitability while nurturing vendor relationships.
Collaborate with retail to choose products and deals that drive sales and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with the production team on timing and strain choices.
Track trade deals to ensure both sides are being treated fairly.
Ensure we are being provided accurate yield data from our partners.
3. Allocation of in house flower for retail locations
Collaborate with the cultivation and production staff on choosing the best batches to make it to the stores.
Ensure store and logistics backstock levels are appropriate.
Transmit allocation requests to the fulfillment team on a regular and timely basis.
Work closely with the Retail Director on in house flower promotions. Maintain stock levels to support promotions.
4. Generating inventory and sell through rate reports
Provide weekly inventory reporting.
Give suggestions and analysis based on your data.
5. Conducting periodic inventory audits.
Work with store managers and production team to conduct regular audits on inventory.
