Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead and execute the strategic vision for our Truckload operations. This role is critical in optimizing driver management, enhancing route planning, and driving profitability across the PTG Logistics network. What Youll Do:
- Benchmark customer locations to maximize PTG asset utilization and profitability.
- Build and manage the relationship between PTG Logistics and its customers, supporting the Truckload Carrier Program.
- Identify improvement opportunities and report during weekly staff meetings.
- Lead driver recruiting efforts, serving as the first point of contact and managing onboarding protocols.
- Oversee drivers and routes, ensuring profitability and FMCSA compliance.
- Collaborate with the Truckload Administrator to ensure timely and accurate payroll and invoicing.
- Maintain compliance by managing driver and equipment expirations.
- Optimize routes with continuous moves to reduce deadhead expenses.
- Track and report key truckload carrier metrics, including service performance and profitability.
- Identify and implement backhaul opportunities across all sites.
- Manage all carrier-to-customer administration, including contracts, rate addendums, and insurance updates.
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors degree or 5 years of experience in truckload operations in a management or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Financial acumen with experience in expense tracking and reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- Professional demeanor with a collaborative mindset.
- This is an in-office position, Monday through Friday, in Lebanon, TN.
