Our client in the telecommunication industry is in search of a Fiber Designer / Planner for a long term contract opportunity on a hybrid basis in Minneapolis.
Plan and design fiber backbone and distribution networks, work with municipalities to identify optimum paths for fast deployment
- Plan and design fiber backbone and distribution networks for new and existing service areas.
- Work with municipalities to identify optimal fiber routes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective deployment.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site surveys to assess infrastructure needs and potential obstacles.
- Develop fiber network layouts, splicing plans, and construction documentation using GIS and CAD software.
- Coordinate with utility companies, permitting agencies, and third-party contractors to secure approvals and right-of-way access.
- Optimize network designs to ensure scalability, redundancy, and long-term sustainability.
- Evaluate and recommend materials, technologies, and construction methods to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
- Support project management teams by providing technical expertise, cost estimates, and implementation strategies.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to improve network planning and deployment strategies.
Pay Range : $50 / HR . The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Our full-time consultants have access to benefits including medical, dental, vision as well as 401K contributions.
