Job Description:
The client is seeking an experienced Network Firewall Administrator for implementation, maintenance, and operational support of a large enterprise network.
- Analyze and resolve technical issues in production environments.
- Perform maintenance, upgrades, and changes on production firewalls.
- Troubleshoot and remediate issues related to network infrastructure and systems.
- Perform project-related tasks in a timely manner with high level of quality.
- Follow documented processes, procedures, and policies.
- Create and modify process documentation for teams processes and procedures, as necessary.
- Collaborate daily with multiple end users, teammates, and leadership.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation with other team members.
- Other firewall-related duties as assigned/needed.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills, including log and packet capture analysis.
- Experience managing firewalls across a large enterprise, including remote deployments.
- Demonstrated ability to complete a wide range of strategic infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with groups inside and outside the company.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven consistency, commitment, and excellence in customer service abilities.
- Motivation and ability to self-manage in a fast-paced environment.
- Strict adherence to change management policy and procedure.
- Understanding of current cyber security best practices.
Must have skill
- 5 years Firewall Management Experience
- Good understanding of complex Palo Alto firewall deployments (VSYSes, Multi-VR, VM deployments)
- Experience scripting changes in firewall and/or networking equipment
Nice to have skill
- Automation knowledge/experience
- Compliance knowledge/experience
- Agile methodology knowledge/experience
