ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Laboratory Manager provides on-site support for the production of PTS Corp. manufactured products. The Laboratory Manager completes tasks to monitor and maintain the organization, cleanliness, safety and efficiency of production areas in accordance with State regulations and standards set by PTS. The Laboratory Manager carries out day-to-day tasks that include prepping and directing manufacturing agents on daily tasks, converting, transferring, and maintaining inventory
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee extraction and processing tasks to ensure the safety of all processes and employees.
- Coordinate with Sales to dictate production schedules based on inventory requirements.
- Monitor all processes and employees to ensure state compliance and inventory laws are met.
- Monitor all equipment and see to repairs when needed.
- Monitor inventory of all products to ensure a full menu.
- Coordinate with cultivation pertaining to which strains are needed and when.
- Quality control checks to ensure purity, strength, and composition of all products.
- Direction of support staff to appropriate agents as based on priority of inventory needs.
- Ensure the use of proper PPE
- Timekeeping and general managerial responsibilities
- Maintaining extraction data points.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift equipment or products up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Must haves:
Education and Experience:
- To remain compliant with state law, you must be 21 years of age or older.
- Two years of experience in cannabis extraction and post-extraction processing.
- Two years of experience in general production, preferably in a regulated field producing for human consumption.
- Two years of experience managing a staff of at least five employees.
- Any satisfactory combination of experience and training which clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the following duties: Knowledge of cannabis law, medicinal benefits, and inventory control skills.
- Experience running Luna IO extraction system and/or MACH Ethanol extraction systems is a plus.
