Patient Service Representative

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at a busy Ophthalmology Clinic. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience from the moment they enter our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
• Use a Telephone switchboard to assist patients.
• Schedule appointments for patients using medical scheduling software.
• Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
• Process patient information efficiently, including insurance verification and payment collection.
• Utilize Optical software such as Maxim Eyes for managing patient data and appointments.
• Assist in managing inventory of office supplies and dental materials.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Patient Service Representative or in a similar role within a Ophthalmology clinic is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical coding and insurance processes is advantageous, but we are willing to train.
• Proficiency in 10 key typing to ensure efficient data entry.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while providing exceptional patient care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
