What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pub Manager position at Public Coast Brewing?
At Public Coast we are looking for a magnetic leader to join our culinary skilled, Oregon Coast Inspired, beer-loving team. Surrounded by a skilled and knowledgeable group of individuals, the leader we seek will be the primary leader of pub. Leading the front of house team, this person will work closely with our owner and Columbia Hospitality on exciting initiatives and programs to continue to drive the beer experience at Public Coast.
The Brass Tacks
- Manage FOH hiring, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to foster a cohesive team and provide leadership in their absence.
- Work with Brewers to maintain beer inventory, presentation, and staff training.
- Assist in menu management, inventory, and ordering with F&B leadership.
- Partner with Marketing to develop strategies that attract and retain guests.
- Lead and manage all front of house (FOH) operations, ensuring smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.
- Submit payroll and manage labor costs effectively.
The Nitty Gritty
- Prior food service management experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Knowledge of financial management, including budgeting and expense control.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic POS systems.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and make sound decisions.
- Strong leadership skills, including coaching, motivating, delegating and team-building
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
