About Us:
Public Engagement Associates aims to gather crucial data to better understand the needs and challenges faced by the youth in the District Heights and Capitol Heights area of Prince George’s County., Maryland. The goal of our survey is to learn more about the issues that impact the lives of teens and young adults in our community.
Job Description:
We are seeking enthusiastic and outgoing individuals to join our team as Canvassers. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting door-to-door surveys with our Engagement Leadership Team to collect data for a Youth Assessment. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about community engagement and youth development. Training will be provided and
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct door-to-door surveys in assigned neighborhoods within District Heights and Capitol Heights in Prince George's County.
- Surveys may also be collect at local events and well traveled areas in the community
- Engage with residents to explain the purpose of the assessment and encourage participation.
- Accurately record responses using provided tools and equipment.
- Report daily progress to the team leader.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle data with care.
- Work with the Survey Leadership Team and Supervisor to reach survey targets.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to engage with diverse populations in a friendly and respectful manner.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Previous canvassing or community outreach experience is a plus, but not required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
