Position Summary
The Bridge Center is an initiative of the Public Health Institute (PHI). It strengthens the impact of hospital emergency departments (EDs) on population health issues and health equity. Our largest program, CA Bridge, has supported over 280 hospitals in the last six years to implement medication for addiction treatment (MAT) in the ED. Our National Expansion Project builds capacity for ED MAT in every state. Our Emergency Medical Services program extends the administration of low barrier MAT to paramedics. Our Emergency Department Syphilis / HIV / HCV Screening Program (EDSP) expands routine opt-out testing for these infections to increase public health equity and provide immediate care for people at highest risk. Our newest program, Access Bridge, builds the capacity of America’s emergency departments (EDs) to serve as reproductive health safety nets.
The Operations Program Associate provides critical administrative support for the Bridge Center’s administration and organization, including general office communications, scheduling, and calendar management. The Associate will also support the Access Bridge and National teams through travel planning and booking.

This is a regular full-time primarily remote position that is expected to travel to Oakland, CA for periodic in-person meetings.
Full pay range for this position : $28.26 to $40.29 per hour. The typical hiring range for this position is from $28.26 (minimum) to $34.28 (midpoint) per hour. The starting wage is determined based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, as well as budget availability.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
General Administration
- Lead Correspondence : Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including management of the primary Bridge phone number and email address.
- Lead Calendaring : Manage the primary Bridge calendar, such as scheduling All Staff and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) Meetings; provide administrative support for ELT events and activities via calendar tracking and documentation; assist staff and directors in scheduling meetings and coordinating calendars as needed.
- IT Support : Provide technical support for technology hardware and software and serve as liaison with the program’s IT support provider; conduct pick up and drop off of computers to / from employees and set up shipping labels for non-Bay Area returns for repairs as needed.
- Operations Requests : Manage requests for assistance received via the Operations request form (for office supplies and registrations).
- Document Management : Process, maintain, review, and file policy documents (including the program operations manual, Org chart, and contact lists)
- Onboarding / Offboarding : Organize logistics for new staff and train new staff on program systems including software, finance, administration, and other office operations as needed. Complete the offboarding checklist and manage accounts and technology returns.
- Office Management : Manage coworking space relationship and program office space; manage and dispose of office inventory in accordance with organizational and funder policies as needed.
- Lead Account Management : Manage program subscriptions, accounts, and user administration (Adobe / Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned.
