We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Consumer Loan Underwriter. As a Consumer Loan Underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating and approving loan applications for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Review loan applications and assess creditworthiness of applicants
- Analyze financial information and credit reports to determine risk
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
- Communicate with loan officers and applicants to gather additional information as needed
- Make loan decisions based on established guidelines and risk tolerance
- Maintain accurate and complete loan files
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field- Minimum of 2 years of experience in consumer loan underwriting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
