Job Description
The successful candidate will provide technical support in the Engineering Services department for the Salem Power Uprate Project. They will perform duties as a System/Commissioning Engineer for the power uprate for Salem Units 1 and 2. This engineer is responsible for sponsoring and implementing power uprate modifications, assessing required scope of work, and exploring alternative solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
This role requires a BS Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Controls or related Engineering or related technical degree with 13 years of experience performing related Engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry. Additionally, the candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical system engineering, availability for shift work during installation, and must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.

Key Responsibilities
- Sponsor plant modifications through the plant approval process.
- Fulfill the role of system lead engineer for modifications.
- Ensure adequate systems integration and act as plant systems subject matter experts.
- Support changes to the Preventive maintenance and Surveillance Program.
- Identify Critical Spare parts.
- Support Operations and Maintenance technical procedural changes.
- Prepare and/or support factory and plant startup testing.
- Interface with Project Manager to ensure that Engineering deliverables meet the overall project goals.
- Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing, and as-built verification.
