Job Summary
The Salem Power Uprate Project requires a highly skilled System/Commissioning Engineer to provide technical support in the Engineering Services department. This engineer will be responsible for sponsoring and implementing power uprate modifications, ensuring adequate systems integration, and acting as plant systems subject matter experts.

A BS Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Controls or related Engineering or related technical degree with 13 years of experience performing related Engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry is required. Additionally, the candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical system engineering, availability for shift work during installation, and must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.

Mechanical Systems Commissioning Engineer

This engineer will be responsible for sponsoring and implementing power uprate modifications, ensuring adequate systems integration, and acting as plant systems subject matter experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Sponsor plant modifications through the plant approval process.
- Fulfill the role of system lead engineer for modifications.
- Ensure adequate systems integration and act as plant systems subject matter experts.
- Support changes to the Preventive maintenance and Surveillance Program.
- Identify Critical Spare parts.
- Support Operations and Maintenance technical procedural changes.
- Prepare and/or support factory and plant startup testing.
- Interface with Project Manager to ensure that Engineering deliverables meet the overall project goals.
- Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing, and as-built verification.
