Your expertise will also be essential in resolving complex technical problems and providing solutions during construction and commissioning stages.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop project scope documents, create engineering schedules, and prepare cost estimates
* Design cost-effective and reliable station layouts, one-line control drawings, protective relay schemes, SCADA systems, and monitoring schemes
* Resolve complex technical problems and provide solutions during construction and commissioning stages
* Provide input in developing specifications for equipment purchase
* Perform engineering calculations for substation grounding grid, station battery sizing, lightning protection, voltage drop, SL&P transformer sizing, Arc flash, Cable Pull, Illumination, etc.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Engineering) and at least 8 years of experience in public electric utility high voltage AIS and GIS substation engineering. A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems is highly desirable. Additionally, you should possess a valid driver's license and be willing to work on call 24/7 hours to handle emergency replacement work and assist during system emergencies.
