Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team as a part-time bus instructor. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years experience driving a school bus . This role requires a commitment understanding the FMCSA rules regarding class B Commercial Driver's License with passenger and school bus endorsements and a willingness to share this information to train new drivers.
Duties
- Safely operate a bus or van, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Instruct groups of 1-4 students on FMCSA rules regarding class B CDL with passenger and/or school bus endorsements.
- Guide student drivers in a range setting as well as on the road.
- Prepare individuals for a Class B Passenger/School Bus CDL skills test.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus operation.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and with student drivers of all ages.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus for performing basic vehicle maintenance checks.
