Annual salary is $44,489 or higher depending on experience.

Department Purpose
Position Summary
In accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes 24-50-135, this position has been exempted from the State Personnel System.
Job Duties
- Coordinate and assist childcare providers implement best practices to increase human potential and improve the quality of services by developing and implementing an early childhood quality improvement plan.
- Services include, but are not limited to, modeling quality adult – child interactions; adult to adult interactions; assist providers with problem solving to accomplish targeted improvements based on best practices in early childhood; provide coaching and consultation in accordance with grant funded programs.
- Engage community participation in Children First efforts by partnering with early childhood professionals, program staff, parents and the community at large to determine targeted improvement areas in service provision.
- Ensure quality improvement with partnering programs, by collaborating with early childhood professionals and supporting community awareness about early childhood issues.
- Assure grant compliance by completing monthly, quarterly and annual reports of activities, including narrative account and demographic summaries of persons served.
- Represent the Children First Department, by serving on committees at Pueblo Community College and in our service delivery area as assigned, and by attending required meetings, training sessions or other functions, both in state and out-of-state.

- Maintains confidentiality of student and employee information as required.
- Completes all required compliance training within the established timeline.
- Serves on committees and other groups as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Experience
- Experience in early childhood education, including Developmentally Appropriate Practices, Colorado’s Core Standards for Professionals in Early Childhood, Education and Early Childhood Education Quality Building Initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in a position that required the ability to work closely with adults in a tactful and rational manner.
- Five years of documented full time early childhood education/experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Demonstrated skill working with a diverse population
- Experience in MS Office and Outlook applications
- Ability to communicate clearly to multiple diverse groups to include administration, stakeholders, employees and students.
- Ability to work during non-traditional hours.
Travel – to CCCS office in Denver, to Fremont or Mancos, CO locations, and to conferences inside or outside of Colorado.
Schedule – infrequent weekend and evening hours are required.
