Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, solar system installation, and general construction. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial solar PV systems (roof and ground-mounted).
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Perform electrical wiring and connections according to NEC codes and manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure structural integrity of solar panel installations by securely mounting racking systems.
- Troubleshoot system issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Work with a team to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries professionally.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in solar installation or electrical contracting.
- Strong knowledge of roof and ground-mounted solar PV systems.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Ability to work at heights, on rooftops, and in various weather conditions.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- NABCEP certification (preferred but not required).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and rooftops.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments for extended periods.
