Nursery Care Worker

The Company:
Puget Sound Plants is a wholesale landscape plant grower servicing Washington with 5 locations. We have been in business for over 40 years and pride ourselves on providing an open and enriching work environment.
The Position:
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic person who enjoys working outside. The starting pay is $18 to $22 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

· Maintain complete confidentiality of information pertaining to the company and other proprietary information

· Complete tasks/projects within the hours scheduled and meet or exceed quality standards

· Maintain a clean area. Dispose of all material in the proper manner

· Maintains the quality standards identified by PSP

· Weeding of potted plants

planting trees in field

general nursery maintenance

· Follow all company safety requirements

· Build rapport and productive working relationships with all field and office personnel.

Minimum Skills Requirement

· Proven ability to use equipment, tools, and instruments safely

o Hand tools; Shears, Hoe, Sprayers, digging tools, Saw, hammer

o Power tools, Trimming, Chain saw, weed eater, blower

· Proven ability of performing high quality work

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

· Proven capability of handling a heavy workload

· Have the ability to climb ladders and maneuver effectively in the field

· Must be able to satisfactorily complete safety programs as required

Environment

· Field/Greenhouse environment 100%

· Typical Working hours: eight-hour day between 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
