JOB DESCRIPTION

Registered Nurse (RN) PACU, ASC

Outpatient Bariatric and Cosmetic Surgery Center. We are looking for an experienced RN to admit and recover in our ASC. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8:00am - 6:00pm.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

· Active Registered Nurse license through the Washington State Department of Health

· BLS and ACLS certification

· PACU experience

· Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations

RESPONSIBLITIES

Admit/Recovery

· Manage patient’s admission to the ASC, recovery, and discharge from the ASC

· Coordinate the patient's transition through the perioperative process

· Assess the status of the patient in the pre op

· Performs thorough postoperative patient assessment required in the outpatient setting

· Performs all pre and post operative testing

· Administer narcotic and non-narcotic medication per facility protocol

· Receive patient I the recovery room after surgery, assess and evaluate the patient, continuously monitor the patient during the recovery phase

· Document the status of the patient and the care provided in the EMR

· Ensure that Universal Precautions are maintained

· Confirms that proper techniques and procedures are used according to accepted standards of practice

· Assist in inventory of supplies, medications, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels in the preoperative, operating rooms, and PACU areas

· Maintains order and cleanliness of the entire ASC

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $52.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
