The Cabinetry Design and Sales Specialist will design and order kitchen and bathroom cabinetry and accessories according to customers and contractors’ specifications by performing the essential duties and responsibilities that include:
- Meet and develop relationships with customers; make outbound lead-follow-up contact to qualify leads and sell products and services; handle inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
- Use appropriate marketing proposals and selling techniques to close the sales and cross-sell add-on products; explain features and benefits of manufacturers.
- Utilize design software to develop design.; present design and recommendations to customers; order cabinetry and materials; set-up order; arrange payment; coordinate delivery.
- Establish pricing and negotiate with the supplier; travel regularly to customer jobsites.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems with orders, products, quotes, and deliveries; process returns from customers and examine returned material for purposes of issuing credit and return to suppliers.
- Maintain account activities and contractor product knowledge is current.
- Maintain Design Center product displays.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/equivalent. Associate degree or equivalent, or a minimum of three years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Previous experience specializing in cabinetry design and experience with cabinetry design and layout software (20/20) is highly preferred.
- Interior design and drafting experience, and knowledge of databases, design, inventory software programs, and order processing systems is highly recommended.
- Proven record to be consistently at work and punctual; available to work Friday and Saturday.
