Landscaping Manager

Job Description

Oversees the daily Landscaping operations. Coordinates all scheduling, purchasing, reporting, payroll, safety, and inventory.

Compensation

$65,000 to $75,000 (exempt)

Reporting Relationship

Reports to: Director of Operations

Supervises: Landscaping workers

Responsibilities

Essential Duties

• Oversees the Landscaping operation; which includes coordinating, scheduling, payroll, purchase reporting, safety, and inventory control.
• Responsible for the purchasing of landscape materials, ensuring adequate supplies and materials for all on-going planned projects.
• Responsible for maintaining the inventory for all Landscaping projects.
• Plans and schedules both staffing and equipment utilization to support the landscaping activities.
• Provides training, support, direction and guidance to staff.
• Reports all maintenance and repairs required for equipment to the Fleet Department and follows up on all repairs.
• Responsible for taking pest control measures, scheduling pesticide applications as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualification/Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires 2 to 4 years of supervisory experience, preferably in Landscaping.
• Must be proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Requires excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Requires relating to people in a friendly and professional manner.
• Requires working to the established procedures and maintaining reliable work attendance.
• Requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Able to think and make effective decisions quickly.
• Ability to create effective working relationships with employees.
• Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and work under pressure.
  
  

Required Work Cards/Certifications

• Current State of Hawaii Pesticide Applicators Certification
• Valid Hawaii Driver’s License and successful review of Motor Vehicle Record
  
  

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision.
• The employee is occasionally required to operate objects, tools, or controls.
