Essential Duties
- Oversees the Landscaping operation; which includes coordinating, scheduling, payroll, purchase reporting, safety, and inventory control.
- Responsible for the purchasing of landscape materials, ensuring adequate supplies and materials for all on-going planned projects.
- Responsible for maintaining the inventory for all Landscaping projects.
- Plans and schedules both staffing and equipment utilization to support the landscaping activities.
- Provides training, support, direction and guidance to staff.
- Reports all maintenance and repairs required for equipment to the Fleet Department and follows up on all repairs.
- Responsible for taking pest control measures, scheduling pesticide applications as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires 2 to 4 years of supervisory experience, preferably in Landscaping.
- Must be proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Requires excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Requires relating to people in a friendly and professional manner.
- Requires working to the established procedures and maintaining reliable work attendance.
- Requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Able to think and make effective decisions quickly.
- Ability to create effective working relationships with employees.
- Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and work under pressure.
- Current State of Hawaii Pesticide Applicators Certification
- Valid Hawaii Driver’s License and successful review of Motor Vehicle Record
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision.
- The employee is occasionally required to operate objects, tools, or controls.
