The Pulaski Community School District is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual to work on our team in the main office at Pulaski High School as the PHS Main Office Administrative Assistant. This position is 190 days per year, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 6:45am to 3:15pm.
Job Goal: Provide secretarial and receptionist support for the Pulaski High School Associate Principal. To provide for the school the services necessary to help the school function smoothly for the administration, teachers, support staff, students and parents, so as to facilitate the attainment of district and building goals.
Essential Job Functions:
General
- Serve as office and telephone receptionist for the Main Office
- Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, teachers, students and parents
- Work with both professional staff and paraprofessionals in securing a substitute during an absence.
- Maintain accurate records to ensure proper time off codes are entered into AESOP and substitutes are paid accurately.
- Run reconciliation reports through AESOP and verify accuracy. Work with Payroll to ensure accurate records are maintained.
- Work with guests and visitors, ensuring they are registered on our visitor log, verifying their identity with the District’s Raptor system and announcing their arrival to the appropriate staff member.
Other
- Supervise students who are waiting in the office
- Issue SmartPass as necessary or requested by Admin.
- Perform other responsibilities as requested by supervisor or PHS Admin
Qualified candidates must have:
a high school diploma
administrative assistant or equivalent experience required.
An associate degree in a related field would be preferred.
Proficient keyboarding skills, along with computer experience and general secretarial skills required.
Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to project a positive and courteous attitude and image to staff, students and the community.
Basic receptionist skills required to answer phone lines, direct calls, maintain accurate records, and greet guests, visitors and students.
Must be able to work independently with a strong ability to multi-task.
Ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suites, along with Skyward Student Management database, or the willingness to learn
CPR/First Aid certified, or the willingness to be trained.
