Director of Nursing - RN (New Construction- Puller Veterans Care Center)

Job Summary
The Director of Nursing (DON) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring high-quality patient care in a skilled nursing setting. The DON will manage nursing operations, develop policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care excellence and the ability to lead a diverse team of healthcare professionals.

Duties

• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate daily operations to ensure optimal patient care.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory standards.
• Oversee the completion and accuracy of MDS assessments.
• Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate nurse-to-patient ratios.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Conduct regular training sessions for nursing staff on best practices and compliance requirements.
• Monitor patient care quality metrics and implement improvement strategies as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures within the facility.

Skills

• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of Medicare regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience in assisted living, hospice care, nursing home environments, or home health settings.
• Proficient in managing nursing systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with MDS assessments and documentation standards.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, patients, and families.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of nursing management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
