DEFINITION OF POSITION : Teach students, write Individual Education Programs, provide academic instruction, collect / analyze data, create goals, implement behavior and social emotional strategies, and provide supervision to paraprofessional staff as it relates to instruction within general classroom and special education program settings

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Possess or ability to possess a Washington State teaching certificate with appropriate special education endorsement
- Knowledge and experience regarding positive behavior and social emotional teaching / strategies
- Successful teaching, substituting, and / or student teaching experience with students with special needs

Evidence of collaborative teaching experience working with paraeducatorsSuccessful experience working with behaviorally and emotionally challenged studentsKnowledge of and / or experience with Common Core State Standards and Smarter Balance Assessment ConsortiumExperience working with IEP onlineExperience working with research-based curriculumKnowledge of and / or experience with Washington Alternative Assessment (WA-AIM)ESSENTIAL JOB-RELATED ACTIVITIES :

Salary : $55,318 - $104,265 per year, placement based on experience and level of educationLength of Contract : 0 FTE, 180 days base contract plus professional development daysLeaves / Benefits : Medical, dental, vision, life and long-term disability coverage is provided through SEBB (School Employee Benefits Board) for employees who work at least 630 hours per academic year.
