Pulmonary Associates, P.C. is looking for a fulltime Medical Assistant to join our longstanding, growing Pulmonary/Sleep/Critical Care practice dedicated to providing the highest caliber Pulmonary and Sleep care to our community.
The Medical Assistant position is responsible for supporting our Pulmonary and Sleep providers at both our Central and North locations. Our Medical Assistants provide a variety of routing clinical services to deliver high quality, efficient, care to our patients. Our practice fosters a strong team mentality with a high level of respect for all. The duties for the Medical Assistant position are:
· Rooming patients and gathering necessary vitals in a timely fashion
· Obtaining prior medical history from patients
· Performing O2 walks for patients
· Chart preparation for upcoming patient appointments
· Refilling patient prescriptions
· Working prior authorizations
· Cleaning and stocking rooms
· Opening rooms at beginning of the day and closing down at end of day
· Handling patient phone calls
