Minimum Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications:
- Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician
- CPR
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
Atleast Two (2) years experience.
The position requires occasional lifting.
Fine hand dexterity, eye-hand coordination, the ability to receive oral and written communication, and to communicate verbally and in writing are also necessary
The visual ability to monitor instruments, computers and equipment, recognize alphanumeric characters, distinguish colors and observe physical characteristics are essential to this position
Demonstrates commitment to patient care process by integrating our culture in all internal and external customer interactions; through innovation, accountability, empowerment, collaboration, compassion and results. We use e-clinical works EMR and Breeze software for PFT's and Spiros and methacholine challege testing. Ordering office supplies and other medication or supplies needed for clinic.
Principal Accountabilities
- Performs duties in a manner to promote quality service and customer satisfaction, while promoting safety, and cost efficiency.
- Performs Pulmonary Function tests according to policies and procedures.
- Communicates effectively with doctors, patients and staff. Documents appropriately in the medical records and completes other documentation duties accurately and efficiently according to policies and procedures. Orders clinical supplies for practice.
- Assists with departmental operations as assigned, answering phones or giving injections.
- The pft schedule is set to start at 9 am-11:00 am and then 2 pm-4pm, each pft is aprox 45 mins and spirometrys are 15-20 minutes.
