Reporting to the Vice President People & Culture, the Director People & Culture will partner with a team of highly engaged leaders and have a responsibility to drive talent, business transformation, cultural evolution, operational performance, change management and engagement to lead and support the creation of sustained competitive advantage for the West Area.
The Director People & Culture will partner and provide a broad range of HR leadership in support of the objectives of the business, drive significant new human resources initiatives, and ensure that all human resources and employment initiatives reflect the Culture of the Company.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Director People & Culture will partner and provide a broad range of HR leadership in support of the objectives of the business, drive significant new human resources initiatives, and ensure that all human resources and employment initiatives reflect the Culture of the Company.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Function as a strategic, human capital business advisor to the senior management team and assist in the development of long-term and short-term goals for employees.
- Ensure uniform and equitable application of the organization’s HR policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the greater people & culture team on project work related to employment, training, compensation, benefits, organization development, employee relations, and record-keeping.
- Partner with leaders to provide guidance on employee career development, succession planning, retention programs, performance management and leadership development.
- Manage employee relations, handle disputes, and ensure a positive, fair and equitable working environment. Guide management as to appropriate action to be taken.
- Identify training needs, coordinate employee development programs and support continuous learning initiatives.
- Help to establish and monitor key HR metrics. Review reports and analytics for corporate function leaders.
- Collaborate with corporate function leaders to understand staffing needs and assist with process, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring when needed.
- Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

- Minimum Bachelors degree in HR or equivalent in related field
- Extensive experience in HR management, with a focus on strategic HR planning
- Minimum 7-10 years progressive human resources experience
- Strong knowledge of all HR practices
- Strong knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to HR
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strategic thinking and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders
- Ability to demonstrate personal credibility and trustworthiness
