As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering exceptional customer service to pet owners. This role requires both technical grooming skills and the ability to handle various breeds of dogs and cats with care.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for a variety of pets.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet’s grooming needs and any concerns observed during the grooming process.
- Handle pets safely using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure their comfort and safety during grooming.
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Assist in managing appointments and scheduling grooming sessions as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary assistance or pet care is preferred.
- Strong understanding of animal behavior, handling techniques, and restraint methods.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Knowledge of basic veterinary care is a plus; certification as a veterinary technician is highly regarded.

- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends as needed.
