Pups' n Me is looking for experienced dog handlers, to join our growing company. We are a successful dog walking and hiking company based in Milton, MA, and expanding outward to more bordering towns shortly. Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate Dog Hiker to join our team. If you love spending time outdoors and have a deep affection for animals, this role is perfect for you.

Responsibilities
- Hike dogs of various breeds and sizes in all weather conditions
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the dogs in your care
- Maintain control of dogs during hikes off-leash to prevent incidents
- Follow specific instructions regarding each dog's route, pace, and behavior
- Provide fresh water and treats as needed during hikes
- Report any health or behavioral concerns to the dog owners

Responsibilities

• Safely lead and supervise a group of dogs on fun outdoor adventures.
• Ensure the well-being and happiness of each dog, catering to their individual needs.
• Discover scenic trails and natural landscapes while providing dogs with a chance to explore and play.
• Use positive reinforcement techniques to reinforce good behavior and leash manners.
• Capture memorable moments with photos during hikes and share them with delighted pet parents.
• Genuine love for dogs and a strong sense of responsibility toward their welfare.
• Good physical fitness to keep up with energetic dogs during hikes.
• Basic knowledge of dog behavior and the ability to handle different temperaments.
• Reliable transportation to reach designated hiking areas.
• Willing to take dogs in your vehicle, preferably an SUV
• Excellent communication skills to interact with fellow team members and pet owners.
• Commit to 6 months or more
• Pass a background check

Requirements
- Experience in animal handling or a related field such as equine, veterinary technician, or veterinary assistant is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with dog owners
- Knowledge of pet care practices and basic dog training techniques
- Ability to handle animal restraint when necessary
- Previous experience in pet sitting or working in a veterinary environment is a plus
