Company Description:
Seeking a certified medical assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. Pura Clinic Family Medicine is looking for an outgoing, upbeat, and a friendly personality to be our Medical Assistant. It's located in the Baywood area. Our practice provides urgent clinic services.

Job Summary:
Assist the physician/provider in the delivery of patient health working within the scope of practice for a Medical Assistant.
Essential Functions:
1. Able to do phlebotomy, lab work.
2. Prepare patients for examination, and record patient history/vital signs.
3. Prepare exam and treatment rooms.
4. Give injections, apply splints and dressings, and facilitate simple wound management under provider orders.
5. Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
6. Maintain patient files, records, and other information including entry of data into EMR.
7. Answering phone calls from patients regarding health issues.
8. Collaborate with a variety of personnel to ensure smooth clinic operations.
9. Upkeep the general outlook of the clinic and maintain a welcoming demeanor.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-An Associate degree required.
-Minimum of 2 years experience in a medical office, required.
-Certified Medical Assistant.
-Basic computer skills: Word.
Preferred Skills:
-CPR certification.
-Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
-A candidate with knowledge of front and back office duties.
-Experience with electronic medical records is a plus.
-Bilingual in spanish/English is a plus.
