As a General Manager at Gelato by Pura Vida Miami, your role encompasses a broadspectrum of duties pivotal to the operational success of our brand. You will be the face of our gelato, ensuring customers have an exceptional experience while also educating them on what makes our gelato stand out. You will engage with customers in the shop, help drive customer loyalty, and represent our brand through your enthusiasm and knowledge. We are looking for an ambassador of our new concept!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Motivate and direct team members to exceed customer expectations with fast and friendly service in clean surroundings.
• Oversee inventory management, labor allocation, and utilizes financial analysis to optimize restaurant performance.
• Handles daily ordering and invoicing at the store level.
• Provide training for new employees and managers across all restaurant stations, leveraging team collaboration.
• Be able to talk knowledgeably about what makes our gelato different from others, focusing on aspects like our quality ingredients, artisanal techniques, and unique, handcrafted flavors.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations.
• Help create a positive and memorable experience for customers, encouraging repeat visits and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
• Uphold and reinforces all Pura Vida procedures and policies at the store level.
• Efficiently organizes, schedules, and supervises team member shifts.
• Interact with customers in-store, answering questions, providing recommendations, and ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
• Lead by example in providing exemplary customer service and addressing customer concerns effectively.
• Support recruitment, selection, hiring, and talent retention initiatives at the store.
• Recruits and develops talented employees, with an eye toward building organizational capacity and bench strength.
• Creates an environment that encourages innovation and development.
  
  
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 years of management experience in the hospitality/restaurant industry.
• College education is preferred, but not required.
• Hard-working, enthusiastic leader with strong communication, organizational & problem-solving skills.
• Friendly and professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced, demanding environment.
• Passionate about health and wellness is a bonus.
• Must be able to frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
• Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is a plus.
• Advanced typing/basic knowledge of Excel and POS systems.
