What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Manager position at Puratos?
Position Overview
This position will be responsible for the compilation and administration of the Pennant Ingredients annual budget, financial statement preparation and analysis and Activity Based Cost (ABC) activities. This position will work closely with operating management in the development of both short & long-term goals. This position is also responsible for identifying and providing corrective action to potentially adverse situations and making recommendations and presenting information to allow accurate decision making. Work closely with accounting organization in the coordination of the monthly close.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with US & Belgian accounting guidelines.
- Prepare analysis of operating results including variance analysis and explanations of change vs. annual budget and prior year.
- Preparation and coordination of annual budget process, including annual inventory standards. Align with US reporting.
- Work with US finance for synergies and reporting analysis that can be used for both companies.
- Work closely with operating management in cost control and reduction.
- Develop annual inventory standards (ABC) and provide ongoing analysis of product & customer profitability analysis of product & customer profitability.
- Own monthly closing process including preparation of journal entries, monitoring sales and inventory cutoffs, etc., in collaboration with Puratos US and Global finance departments.
- Maintain balance sheet with accruals, prepaids, and GRIR reconciliation.
- Prepare and maintain ongoing short-term and long-term P&L forecasts.
- Support Pennant leadership in preparation and monitoring of capital spending requests including ROI analysis.
- Develop and manage customer pricing and rebate programs.
- Member of Pennant Ingredients executive leadership team and Finance US Leadership Team
- Other special projects as assigned.
- This position will report directly to the Pennant GM and functionally to the US CFO
Education Required
- Minimum - 4 Year / Bachelor Degree
- Preferred - Graduate Degree
Years of Experience
- 10 years - Accounting/Financial analysis experience
- 5 years - Financial Management
Requirements
- English required, Spanish a plus
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively for a common goal and to build partnerships up and down the Organization
- Strong analytical, organizational, planning and influencing skills
Compensation
Compensation for this position is based on skills and experience, salary range from $100,000 – $120,000 annually.
