Primary Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
- Lead HR projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timely completion
- Address employee inquiries and concerns and provide guidance on company policies and procedures
- Investigate and resolve employee issues, including conflicts and disciplinary actions
- Foster a positive work environment through employee engagement and recognition programs.
- Support talent acquisition programs and hiring initiatives for various classifications, ensuring a diverse and qualified candidate pool.
- Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, and conducting interviews.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding processes, including orientation, training, and integration into the company culture.
- Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies, job boards, and universities.
- Support performance appraisal processes, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual evaluations.
- Assist HR Business Partners in the development of Performance Improvement plans and/or employee/leadership performance coaching.
- Provide support on regulatory and/or customer audits to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Monitor approval workflow for employee transactions to ensure timeline execution of key people practices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
- Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in all HR systems.
- Facilitate workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Ensure timely capture and reporting of employee training initiatives to monitor achievement of enterprise learning objectives.
- Promote employee engagement initiatives and activities to enhance workplace morale and productivity.
- Organize company events, team-building activities, and employee appreciation programs.
- Conduct employee surveys and feedback sessions to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in maintaining positive relationships with union representatives.
- Support the negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements.
- Help address union-related inquiries and assist in resolving labor disputes.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and union agreements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- 3 years progressive Human Resources experience, including:
- Knowledge in HR practices, policies & procedures
- Employee relations, talent development, performance management
- Knowledge of state and federal labor laws and employment best practices Prior HR Experience within a manufacturing environment is a big plus
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases, preferably UKG and SuccessFactors
- Strong organizational, planning, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills
- People oriented and results driven; business and financial acumen
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills. English language proficiency required, bilingual Spanish preferred
