Responsibilities
- Provide paralegal support to attorneys in varied, multi-party litigation areas such as auto, construction, products and premises liability;
- Tracking of litigation and discovery deadlines;
- Draft discovery motions;
- Draft discovery requests, legal documents, discovery responses;
- Assist with trial preparation and trial, including pretrial exchanges and exhibits and motions in limine;
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, etc. regarding matters you are handling;
- Prepare case-specific documents, including memoranda and briefs;
- Ensure that case-related documents are well organized and available for review;
- Conduct legal research and investigation;
- Provide general administrative support;
- Communicate with clients and witnesses;
- Attend court sessions and record important information;
- Maintain and update documentation; and
- Assist with discovery requests.
- Paralegal Certification or Degree;
- Previous experience as a Litigation Paralegal;
- Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court system;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology;
- Excellent research skills;
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure;
- Must be detail oriented;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook; and
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
