The Opportunity: The Contract Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, quality control, and executing, the company’s email/SMS/Push (E/S/P) marketing channel, including promotional, triggered and transactional campaigns.
What You Will Do:
- Work closely with email manager, remote offshore specialists, and campaign planners to develop and QA promotional, automated, transactional emails, SMS, and Push messages based on best practices
- Create and monitor complex Responsys programs, including multi-touch, multi-channel campaigns and A/B tests
- Develop dynamic templates and content modules in Responsys to improve engagement KPIs and enhance the customer experience
- Utilize Response Programming Language (RPL) and Movable Ink to expand dynamic content testing and personalization initiatives
- Execute quality assurance: test links, ensure proper rendering across desktop and mobile, and verify promotions are correct
- Perform pre-launch QA, schedule and deploy emails, SMS, and push messages and monitor deliverability
- Build email automations and customer journeys based on customer segmentation and business rules
- Work with internal teams and developers to build new transactional emails dependent upon APIs and SFTP uploads
- Understand email KPIs to constantly optimize campaigns for efficiency
The Experience You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Marketing or related field
- 5 years of related experience in email marketing in a retail ecommerce environment
- Hands-on experience/knowledge with HTML, content management systems and CSS a plus
- Experience with an enterprise-level ESP (Responsys highly preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint), and strong analytical skills
- Understanding of KPIs relevant to email marketing
- Working knowledge email scripting languages for dynamic content Responsys Programming Language (RPL) highly preferred
- Expertise in email development industry best practices, technologies, trends and benchmarks
- Operate independently and efficiently to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, proficient attention to detail and well organized
- Ability to evaluate and change priorities daily and to perform efficiently within a fast-paced team environment
- Critical thinker (creative and analytical) with email optimization tactics to improve performance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Responsys and/or Eloqua
- Asana Project Management
- Experience with Movable Ink
