The primary role of the Operations Assistant (OA) position is assisting in the daily operations of the France A. Córdova Recreational Sports Center. The goal of this position is to give students valuable real-world experience in a supportive and fair environment. The Operations Assistant position should work 12 hours per week during the current semester. Those hours may be worked in any combination, at the discretion of the direct supervisor. The Operations Assistant position must be reliable, organized, responsible, and flexible. They must also be ambitious, detail-oriented, creative, and driven.

Prerequisite(s)
- Valid or ability to obtain American Red Cross (or equivalent) CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers, First Aid, and Blood borne Pathogens certification or ability to obtain upon hire within first 30 working days
- Punctuality and ability to attend mandatory meetings/trainings
- Must be actively enrolled at Purdue University, Purdue Global, local accredited college, or local high school
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Flexible and dependable with a strong attention to detail
- Problem solving, logic and reasoning skills
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines

- Ensure all policies and procedures are enforced
- Maintain high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility
- Maintain safety and risk management standards of the department
- Perform daily upkeep of supplies throughout the facility
- Assist the Operation Manager with facility set up and tear down
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and cardio, track, and weight areas
- Report equipment needs and maintenance repairs
- Maintain organization of weight room, track, and cardio area equipment
- Have basic knowledge and understanding of all Emergency Action Plan scenarios
- Assist the Operations Manager and Specialist in risk management and event management.
