What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Director, Undergraduate Recruitment position at Purdue University?
The Associate Director of Undergraduate Recruitment has a shared responsibility for bringing in first year and transfer students that are well qualified and prepared for curriculum and experiences as undergraduates at the Daniels School of Business. A fundamentally important function is communicating up-to-date information effectively and persuasively to prospective students, parents, and key stakeholders, individually and in groups. This position will play a key role in attracting top students to the growing Daniels School of Business. Finally, the Associate Director is tasked with assisting the Director in creating and establishing recruitment strategies to attract key populations to the new Purdue School of Business.

What We’re Looking For:
Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/management, marketing, communication, public relations, education or related field.
- 4 years progressive experience in secondary or post-secondary education
- Experience should show progressive growth in responsibilities
Skills Needed:
- Excellent interpersonal, time, and project management skills with the ability to balance multiple deadlines and time sensitive deliverables
- Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with prospective students and parents, both individually and in groups, sharing up-to-date information on the School of Business undergraduate majors and programs
- Ability to learn quickly and to work in a highly flexible work environment based on changes in recruitment calendar
- Being a lifelong learner is essential to this role as information moves and changes rapidly
- The ability to be flexible and efficient with the recruitment cycle’s various tasks
- Presentation skills are highly valuable in this position
Preferred:
- Experience giving presentations and communicating with students and their families
